Weigelia, a multiple graded stakes victor, sired his first winner when his daughter Brenda's Way scored at Pimlico Race Course April 12 in her initial start.

The juvenile filly captured the maiden special weight race at 4 1/2 furlongs by 7 3/4 lengths for owner George Greenwalt (VIDEO).

Bred by Chip and Barbara Wheeler’s WynOaks Farm and Stephen E.  Quick, Brenda’s Way is out of the winning Malibu Moon   mare Malibu Mystique.

Weigelia (Safely's Mark—Turning North, by Obligato) stands at WynOaks near Delta, Pa., for $3,500.
