Tote and gaming company Sportech, through its Sportech Racing subsidiary, has launched several initiatives, company officials said April 3. Among them is a Spanish-language wagering website for Camarero Race Track in Puerto Rico and advance deposit wagering through Evangeline Downs & Casino.
GanaDondeSea.com is the central element of Sportech’s turnkey package that also includes Spanish-language customer care and marketing together with a mobile wagering service for smart phones and tablets. Sportech hired Puerto Rico-based advertising agency JMD Communications to develop and execute branding.
Camarero officials said the website is the only one certified for wagering in Puerto Rico.
Sportech said it will provide Evangeline Downs in Louisiana with a customized wagering website, a smart-phone/tablet wagering application, and turnkey services, including customer care and marketing support. The racetrack casino has not had a dedicated ADW system.
“Entering the online pari-mutuel wagering market in Louisiana is an important venture for Evangeline Downs and so it was vital to choose the right partner in order to succeed,” Evangeline Downs chief operating officer Jonathan Swain said. “Our player relationships are a top priority for us, and we value the ability to at once offer great online and mobile wagering experiences, while still being able to manage that player relationship.
“We are confident that our new website will position Evangeline Downs competitively in Louisiana’s pari-mutuel wagering marketplace.”
Sportech also said it opened a customer care contact center in New Haven, Conn.
