TVG will provide live coverage of the annual race meets at Keeneland and Woodbine that begin Friday, April 6.
The 15-day meet at Keeneland in Lexington concludes April 27 and Woodbine, near Toronto, Ontario, Canada, will conduct 167 days of live racing that concludes Dec. 16.
Opening day at Keeneland is highlighted by the $100,000 Transylvania Stakes (gr. III), with the $500,000 Ashland Stakes (gr. I) highlighting the April 7 card. Keeneland will offer 15 graded stakes, including five grade I events--Vinery Madison, Maker’s 46 Mile, Toyota Blue Grass, and Jenny Wiley joining the Ashland.
Woodbine’s opening day feature is the $150,000 Jacques Cartier Stakes. Meet highlights include the $1 million Queens Plate (Can-I), the opening leg in the Canadian Triple Crown on June 24, the $1.5 million Pattison Canadian International (Can-IT), and the $1 million E.P. Taylor (Can-IT), both Oct. 14.
Hosting TVG’s opening weekend at Keeneland will be Todd Schrupp, who will be joined by analysts Simon Bray, Christina Olivares, and Tom Amoss. TVG will be on-site at Keeneland throughout the meet, with Donna Barton Brothers providing coverage on most days.
Paul LoDuca will handle the announcing duties for Woodbine’s opening weekend.
