Carrying 131 pounds, Dawn Approach won the five-furlong race for trainer James S. Bolger’s wife and J.P. Spain.
Bred in Ireland by James S. Bolger, Dawn Approach is out of the Phone Trick mare Hymn of the Dawn, whose third dam is major producer Kittiwake.
New Approach (Galileo—Park Express, by Ahonoora) earned a Cartier Award at 2 and 3. His chief victory came in the 2008 Vodafone Epsom Derby (Eng-I).
New Approach stands at Sheikh Mohammed’s Dalham Hall Stud near Newmarket, England. His fee is $22,500 pounds.
