Leading New York rider Ramon Dominguez, diagnosed with a dislocated collarbone after a nasty fall March 18 at Aqueduct, could be healed in time to ride Hansen   in the Resorts World Casino New York City Wood Memorial (gr. I) April 7.

His agent, Steve Rushing, speaking March 21 to the New York Racing Association press office, said that Dominguez's doctor -- after reviewing an MRI taken the preceding day -- is "confident that he can be back within two weeks."

If so, Dominguez would be able to ride Hansen, the 2011 male juvenile champion, in the Wood Memorial. Dominguez has ridden the colt in his past three starts, including a three-length triumph in Aqueduct's Gotham Stakes (gr. III) March 3.

Dominguez, a two-time reigning Eclipse Award-winning jockey, was injured at Aqueduct when his mount, Mob Wife, stumbled and fell shortly before the wire during an allowance race for 3-year-old New York-bred fillies.
