Starting with Our Cozzette who sat just off the pace before angling out and running down front runner Ambers Smile in Fillies Division, the duo teamed up for $160,000 in purse winnings.Our Cozzette remained unbeaten in two starts covering the six furlongs in 1:10 1/5. The winner paid $8, $4.60 and $2.80 and topped a $32.60 exacta. It was a neck back to Ambers Smile and another neck back to Willie's Luv."She wants to go long," said winning trainer Cal Lynch. "This isn't really her game, but she's been winning on class alone. She's a classy filly and she's a pleasure to train."The win bumped her earnings to $81,000 for her owner, Gunsmith Stable.Next it was Parfy's Legacy, who captured the Colts and Geldings Division by a nose over Numbers Man. Jose Velez, Jr., rider of the runner-up claimed foul against the winner for interference in the stretch, but that claim was not allowed.The win was the second in three lifetime tries for the two-year-old colt by Sea Hero who paid $9, $3.20 and $2.80 after going the six furlongs in 1:09 4/5. Numbers Man completed a $21.60 exacta and bested his stablemate Our Wildcat who was third.Parfy's Legacy now has lifetime earnings of $90,025 for owners Edith M. Lombardi and Helga Nemeth.In the $75,000 Chief Pennekeck Stakes, Governor's Pride took the track right out of the gate and held off all challengers to capture the six furlong event in 1:08 3/5.Trained by Tim Ritchey and ridden by Jeremy Rose, his fourth winner of the evening, Governor's Pride paid $13.60, $7.20 and $4.80. It was a length back to longshot Loaded Gun who completed a $533.80 exacta. Grangeville and Ticket to Freedom dead-heated for third.It was the 10th win in 17 tries for the four-year-old gelding by Housebuster whose lifetime earnings are now $331,330 for owner S J B Stable.
