Stakes Winner Always in My Heart Retired

Always in My Heart, who won the Sam Houston Distaff Stakes Feb. 25, has been retired from racing. The 6-year-old mare is booked to Mineshaft  .

A homebred for Josephine Abercrombie’s Pin Oak Stable, Always in My Heart collected her first stakes win in the Sam Houston Distaff. She placed in four stakes including the Pin Oak Valley View Stakes (gr. III) at Keeneland. She was retired with a record of 6-2-5 from 18 starts and earnings of $170,604.

By Hennessy, Always in My Heart is out of the winning Miswaki mare Vow That Binds, a half sister to two stakes winners including grade II winner and successful sire Broken Vow  , who stands at Pin Oak Stud near Versailles, Ky.
