A daughter of Myboycharlie topped the second select session of the Magic Millions Perth yearling sale, bringing Aust$75,000 ($80,195 in U.S. funds) Feb. 15 at the Belmont Park Sales Complex in Australia. Trainer and agent Joe Byrne bought the bay filly for his good friend and client Wayne Lim Woie Chet.

Consigned by Korilya Stud, the yearling is the fourth foal out of the Blackfriars mare Who Rang, who failed to win in her three career races. Who Rang is a full sister to the winners Ring of Success and Just Kenny.

The results for the select portion of the sale so far include a gross of Aust$2,424,000 ($2,591,910) for the 95 horses that were sold. The average price was Aust$25,516 ($27,284) and the median price was Aust$20,000 ($21,385). The clearance rate was 65.1%.

“The quality lots tonight attracted strong interest and were the subject of spirited bidding,” said Magic Millions managing director Vin Cox. “Obviously, we would like to see the clearance rate climb tomorrow during the final session of the select sale.”
