Grade I winner Line of David sired his first reported foals when a colt and filly were born recently in Central Kentucky.
The colt was bred by Eamon Cleary and gave birth Jan. 19 at his Clearsky Farms near Lexington. He is out of grade I stakes-placed Sister Girl Blues (by Hold for Gold).
Six days later, a filly was born at Hurricane Hills Farm near Paris, Ky. Bred by Hurricane Hills owner Doug Branham, the filly is out of the Value Plus mare Value Vetted.
Winner of the 2010 Arkansas Derby (gr. I), Line of David (Lion Heart—Emma's Dilemma, by Capote) stands at B. Wayne Hughes’ Spendthrift Farm near Lexington. His 2012 fee is $7,500 stands and nurses.
