Robert B. Cohen, Raced Hudson County, Dies

Robert B. Cohen, whose colt Hudson County finished second in the 1974 Kentucky Derby (gr. I), died Feb. 1 at his Palm Beach, Fla., home. Cohen, who operated Hudson News shops, was 86.

Hudson County finished second behind Cannonade in the 100th Kentucky Derby. Also during his career Hudson County won the 1973 Bay Shore Stakes (gr. III) and the 1974 Paumonok Handicap (gr. III).

Cohen’s survivors include his wife, Harriet, and a son, James.
