OBS March Sale Has 362 Juveniles Cataloged

The Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. has cataloged 362 horses for its March select sale of 2-year-olds in training. The number is down 26.1% from last year’s total of 490.

The auction will be held March 13-14 in Central Florida, with each session beginning at 11 a.m. (EST). Under tack shows are scheduled for March 8-9, and they will start at 8 a.m.

The auction’s catalog can be viewed on the OBS website: www.obssales.com.

The website has been redesigned and features a sortable master index for the catalog and daily pedigree updates. Videos of the under tack shows also will be available. The shows and the sale will be streamed live on the website.

Stallions with offspring in the auction include A.P. Indy, Bernardini  , Distorted Humor  , Empire Maker, Giant's Causeway  , Hard Spun  , Indian Charlie  , Malibu Moon  , Medaglia d'Oro  , More Than Ready  , Scat Daddy  , Smart Strike  , Speightstown  , and Tapit  . Members of Curlin   and Big Brown  ’s first crops also are scheduled to be offered.

The 23rd annual OBS Championship Stakes races will be run in conjunction with the sale. They are scheduled for March 12. The post time for the first race is 1 p.m.
