Grade II winner Scrimshaw, third in the 2003 Preakness Stakes (gr. I), has relocated to Texas where he will stand at Double S Thoroughbred Farm in Poynor for 2012. He stood at Moon Lake Farm in Louisiana in 2011.
By Gulch out of the winning Sham mare Rogue Girl, Scrimshaw won the 2003 Coolmore Lexington Stakes (gr. II) for owners Bob and Beverly Lewis and trainer D. Wayne Lukas. He went on to win four of 13 lifetime starts and earn $461,842.
The 12-year-old Scrimshaw is the sire of grade III winner Mr. Rod and four-time stakes winner Nomorewineforeddie. His stud fee for 2012 is listed at $1,500.
