Stoneway Farm’s Exfactor, winner of last year’s Bashford Manor Stakes (gr. III), worked a half-mile in :49 1/5 Feb. 2 at Fair Grounds Race Course and Slots. The move was the eighth fastest of 20 at the four-furlong trip.

It marks Exfactor’s first recorded work since a disappointing 11th-place finish Jan. 21 in the Lecomte Stakes (gr. III) won by Mr. Bowling. Exfactor, a winner of the six-furlong Sugar Bowl Stakes at Fair Grounds in mid-December, was 7-1 in the mile-and-70-yard Lecomte.

Exfactor, a son of Exchange Rate  —Bright Magic, by Prized, is trained by Bernie Flint. The gray/roan colt was bred in Kentucky by Bo Hirsch.

Exfactor has a 3-1-0 slate from five starts and has earned $145,348.

Upcoming stakes for 3-year-olds at Fair Grounds are the Feb. 25 Risen Star Stakes (gr. II) at 1 1/16 miles and the $1 million Louisiana Derby (gr. II) at nine furlongs April 1.
