Trainer Tom Amoss has been fined $2,500 by stewards in Kentucky after being found in violation of a Class C medication offense three times within a 365-day period.
According to the Jan. 20 ruling, the Amoss-trained Notassharpasuthink tested positive for the Class C drug Methocarbamol following a third-place in the eighth race at Keeneland last Oct. 22. The purse monies and pari-mutuel wagering on the race were unaffected.
Among the horses trained by Amoss, a stalwart in the Midwest, have been grade I winner Heritage of Gold and grade II winners Backtalk , Rush Bay, and Royal Spy.
