The first foal by Silver City  , a stakes winner by Unbridled's Song  , was born Jan. 24 at Valor Farm near Pilot Point, Texas.

The chestnut filly is out of Delta Band, a daughter of Dixieland Band, and is owned by Valor Farm owner Clarence Scharbauer, Jr., who also raced Silver City. Delta Band is the unraced daughter of Stalwart Sal, who’s produced three stakes winners and eight additional winners out of 12 foals to race.

Silver City won four times and placed twice out of eight lifetime starts. He won the Dixieland Stakes at Oaklawn Park then went on to finish second in the Southwest Stakes (gr. III). He retired with nearly $182,000 in earnings. The 6-year-old stallion stands at Valor Farm for $2,000.
