Afleet Express Sires First Foal

The first reported foal by grade I winner Afleet Express   is a filly born Jan. 16 at Corner Woods near Lexington. The farm is owned by Drs. Charles L. Kidder and Nancy M. Cole and Ben L. Kidder.

Bred by Drs. Cole and Kidder, the filly is out of the Purge mare Heaven Knows, a half sister to graded stakes-placed runner Kazamira. The newborn’s second dam is a half sister to grade I winner Proper Reality.

Winner of the Travers Stakes (gr. I), Afleet Express (Afleet Alex  —Expanse, by Distant View) stands at Antony Beck’s Gainesway Farm near Lexington. His 2012 fee is $6,500 stands and nurses.
