First Foal for Temple City is a Filly

Graded stakes winner Temple City   sired his first reported foal Jan. 13 when a bay filly was born at Anderson Farms in Ontario, Canada.

Bred by Spendthrift Farm, the filly is out of the Wild Again mare Goes Around, a half sister to stakes winners Mystic Night and Wacky Becky.

A son of Dynaformer out of a half sister to prominent sire Malibu Moon  , Spendthrift Farm homebred Temple City achieved his greatest success on turf. He won the Cougar II Handicap (gr. III) over Unusual Suspect and grade I winner Richard's Kid   in track-record time on Del Mar's Polytrack however, in July 2010. He ran the 1 1/2-mile distance in 2:30.46.

Temple City stands at Spendthrift in Lexington, where his 2012 fee is $5,000.
