Five-time graded stakes winner Mystic Lady leads a field of six postward in the 1 1/16 mile, $200,000 Honey Bee Handicap at The Meadowlands Friday night. The Thunder Gulch filly annexed the Cotillion (gr. II) in her last start and the Jersey Derby (gr. III) earlier this year at Monmouth. Mystic Lady will carry Eibar Coa and 122 pounds for conditioner Mark Hennig.

Providing competition will be Latour, who captured the Davona Dale (gr. II) at Gulfstream in February and finished third in the grade I Ashland at Keeneland. The John Kimmel trainee comes off a second in the Summit Stakes. Delaware Oaks (gr. III) winner Zonk, second to Mystic Lady in the Cotillion, tries her again for trainer John Servis.

Trainer Nick Zito has entered Out of Sync in both the Honey Bee and the next day's Turnback the Alarm (gr. III) at Aqueduct. Out of Sync finished second in the Frizette last year. Shiny Band comes into the Honey Bee riding a three-race win streak for trainer Allen Jerkins, and Heather Promise rounds out the field, making her first start since April. She is sent out by John Terranova, who trained Gander to win the Meadowlands Cup (gr. II) over the same strip.
