Italian champion Singapore Lilly is among the horses cataloged for the Tattersalls February mixed sale in England. There are 298 lots in the auction, which will be held Feb. 2. The catalog can be viewed online at www.tattersalls.com.
Singapore Lilly, whose consignor is the National Stud, is a 4-year-old daughter of Mujadil. She captured the 2010 Betfred.com Ascendant Stakes in England. She also finished second in the Gran Criterium (Ity-I) and third in the Premio Dormello (Ity-III) in 2010.
This year’s February sale is the largest since 2008. Scheduled to be offered are broodmares, fillies/horses in training, weanlings, 2-year-olds, and two stallions--Chineur and Striking Ambition.
Leading owner/breeders Darley and Juddmonte Farms have significant consignments. There are 28 fillies and mares coming from Darley and a 25 from Juddmonte Farms. Shadwell Estates also has horses in the auction.
The short yearlings in the sale are by such sires as Dalakhani, Dutch Art, Rock of Gibraltar, Selkirk, and Sir Percy.
Commenting on the 2012 Tattersalls February Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;
“Now established as Europe’s premier midwinter sale, the 2012 renewal of the Tattersalls February Sale looks set to attract a wide cross section of domestic and international buyers,” said Mahony. “It is a good commercial catalog catering for so many different requirements and as usual the sale will be preceded by the ever popular TBA stallion parade.”
Print versions of the catalog will be available from Tattersalls and all Tattersalls overseas representatives beginning Jan. 18.
