Graded stakes winner Strategic Mission will enter stud at Graham J. Beck's Gainesway Farm next year for $7,500 live foal. He is scheduled to make his final start in the Nov. 11 River City Handicap (gr. IIIT) at Churchill Downs.

A 6-year-old son of Mr. Prospector out of the Buckfinder mare Sultry Sun, Strategic Mission has won seven of 23 races and earned $396,590 racing as a homebred for Live Oak Plantation. He captured the Fort Marcy Handicap (gr. IIIT) and placed in the Shadwell Keeneland Turf Mile (gr. IIT), Maker's Mark Mile (gr. IIT), and John Henry Stakes.

Strategic Mission, who will stand as the property of Gainesway and Live Oak Stud, is a half-brother to millionaires Sultry Song and Solar Splendor.
