Graham Motion trainees Animal Kingdom and Toby's Corner worked in company Jan. 8 at Fair Hill Training Center in Maryland.
Animal Kingdom, a 4-year-old Leroidesanimaux colt, and Toby’s Corner, a 4-year-old Bellamy Road colt, were clocked in :50 2/5 on the fast dirt track, according to Equibase. Motion through Twitter indicated he was pleased with the works.
Animal Kingdom, injured in last year’s Belmont Stakes (gr. I) after winning the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) and finishing second in the Preakness Stakes (gr. I), is working toward the Dubai World Cup (UAE-I) in late March. Animal Kingdom, owned and bred by Team Valor International, is a finalist for the Eclipse Award for 3-year-old male champion of 2011.
Toby’s Corner, owned and bred by Dianne Cotter, won last year’s Resorts World New York Casino Wood Memorial Stakes (gr. I).
