$15,000 Fees for A P Valentine, Black Minnaloushe

Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky., announced $15,000 fees for incoming stallions A P Valentine and Black Minnaloushe for the 2002 breeding season. Three-year-old A P Valentine (A.P. Indy--Twenty Eight Carat, by Alydar) captured last year's Champagne Stakes (gr. I) over Point Given and finished second behind that rival in both the Preakness (gr. I) and Belmont (gr. I) Stakes. He won three of 13 races and earned $864,170

Black Minnaloushe, also a 3-year-old, scored group I wins in this year's Entenmanns Irish Two Thousand Guineas and St. James's Palace Stakes (in England). A son of Storm Cat out of the Green Dancer mare Coral Dance, he retires with four wins from 11 starts and earnings of $490,945.
