Presque Isle Downs & Casino in Erie, Pa., has eliminated Saturday live racing from its 2012 schedule that begins May 14 and runs for 100 days through Sept. 28.
The change, which leaves the track with a Monday-Friday weekly live race schedule, was not announced but was shown on the Presque Isle website when the 2012 calendar was posted.
Opened in 2007, Presque Isle in 2010 dropped Sunday racing and added live racing on Tuesday of each week in an effort to attract greater simulcast handle.
