Californian Steve Marshall has purchased 125-acre Ardmore Farm near Versailles, Ky., the first Kentucky farm developed by Briggs & Cromartie Thoroughbred Consultants. The deal was brokered by Biederman Real Estate.
Marshall, who purchased the farm in the name of his Western Energy Production, LLC, was active at this year’s yearling sales, with Hanzly Albina and Nick Sallusto buying on behalf of his Black Rock Stables. Also earlier this year, Marshall acquired a majority interest in multiple grade III winner Silver Medallion and races him in partnership with Mike Ryan.
According to a release, the Ardmore development is the first project in Kentucky for Alan Briggs and Bob Cromartie, whose previous projects in Florida included the development of what are now Padua Farm in Summerfield and Besilu Collection in Orange Lake.
