The Belmont Child Care Association, a non-profit corporation, has received a donation of $150,000 from Thoroughbred owners Gretchen and Roy Jackson.

From the donation, $100,000 is earmarked for the Lael Stable fund, earnings from which are to be used to provide early childhood education for the children of the backstretch workers at Belmont Park and Aqueduct at Anna House, an on-site center at Belmont.

The other $50,000 is for the Belmont Child Care Association general fund to be used as needed. The Jacksons started the Lael Fund fund in December 2006 in hopes that others would donate to the child care organization.
