Barry Schwartz's homebred New York stakes winner David arrived Oct. 29 at Dutchess Views Farm near Pine Plains, N.Y., where he will stand the 2002 breeding season for $3,000 live foal. Schwartz, chairman of the New York Racing Association, wanted the stallion closer to his Stonewall Farm near Granite Springs in New York. Five-year-old David entered stud in March at DunHill Stud near Reddick, Florida.

David (Mt. Livermore--Fateful Beauty, by Turkoman) won the Magna International New York Derby and Bertram F. Bongard Stakes, and his four stakes-placings included efforts in the Sempra Energy Hollywood Gold Cup Stakes (gr. I) and San Bernardino (gr. II) and Massachusetts (gr. I) Handicaps. He earned $403,920.
