Veteran horseman Tommy Eastham has joined the division of sales at Darby Dan Farm in Central Kentucky.

“We are looking to build the strongest sales team possible and strengthen our customer service, and we sought out Tommy as a key anchor to our team,” said Darby Dan general manager Robert Hammond. “Darby Dan’s farm and sales programs are having an exceptional year, led by Breeders’ Cup (Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf, gr. I) winner Perfect Shirl, top championship contender (and grade I winner) Tizway  , and homebred grade I winner Winter Memories. We look forward to reaching even higher heights with Tommy’s tremendous sales experience and horsemanship.”

Eastham is a familiar face at Central Kentucky auctions through his involvement with Legacy Bloodstock and EastWynd Sales. Horses offered or sold by Eastham include  2011 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (gr. I) and grade I winner Stephanie's Kitten, champion and 2008 Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) winner Stardom Bound, and grade I winner Life At Ten.

“Darby Dan has been built on a tradition of excellence and innovation, and I am very excited at the opportunity to work with a visionary like John Phillips,” Eastham said. “The sales team that John has put together, of Robert, Renee Logan, and myself, is a testament to John’s leadership.”
