Most Adena Stallion Fees Unchanged

Frank Stronach’s Adena Springs Kentucky announced that Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) winner Awesome Again   will continue to stand for $50,000 and his son, Horse of the Year Ghostzapper   will remain at $20,000 for 2012. In addition, Macho Uno   will again stand for $15,000, as will Einstein   at $7,500.

At Adena Springs Canada, the 2012 fees will also remain unchanged from 2011: Milwaukee Brew   will stand for $12,500 and North Light   will stand for $10,000. Sligo Bay  ’s fee will be $6,000, with both Showing Up   and Wilko standing for $5,000. Giant Gizmo  ’s fee is $4,000, with both Singing Saint   and Mast Track   standing for $2,500. The only alteration is the addition of Plan  , who has relocated from Adena Springs Kentucky and will stand for $4,000.

In New York, the Adena Stallions standing at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds will also remain at their 2011 fees: Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner Touch Gold   will stand for $10,000, and Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Alphabet Soup   will stand for $6,000. Silent Name   and Tiago   will both stand for $5,000, with Harlem Rocker standing for $3,500.

Olmodavor   will continue to stand at Magali Farms in Santa Ynez, Calif., for a fee of $5,000. He has been joined for 2012 by Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner Giacomo  , who will also stand for $5,000, and the incoming multiple graded stakes-winning stallion, Noble Court, whose fee has been set at $2,500.

All fees are payable when a live foal stands and nurses. However, live foal guaranteed contracts that are payable Nov. 1, 2012 will qualify for a 20% discount off the advertised stands and nurses price for all stallions, except Awesome Again. Adena Springs will also continue to offer discounts for multiple mare packages.
