The
Kentucky Thoroughbred Farm Managers Club will donate $85,000 to Central Kentucky charities during a reception at Keeneland on Tuesday. The organization, which has more than 600 members who are farm managers and employees or who have some other affiliation within the industry, raised the money by publishing a horse farm directory, holding a golf scramble and sporting clays tournament, and by administering a colostrum bank in conjunction with Hagyard-Davidson-McGee Associates. The largest amount, $19,000, will go to Central Kentucky Riding for the Handicapped, followed by the $16,000 gifts each to ReRun and the Kentucky Equine Management Institute.
