Midday, a two-time English champion and winner of the 2009 Emirates Airline Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (gr. IT), has been retired from racing to became a broodmare. Breeding plans for the 5-year-old Oasis Dream mare are undecided.

Racing as a homebred for Khalid Abdullah’s Juddmonte Farms, Midday contested renewals of the Filly & Mare Turf, winning the 2009 race at Oak Tree at Santa Anita and finishing second to Shared Account in the 2010 renewal. This year, she competed in the Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT), finishing sixth in what turned out to be her final start.

Midday was England’s high-weighted older mare in 2010 at 9 1/2 to 11 furlongs and at 11 to 14 furlongs. During her career she won four English group I stakes as well as the Qater Prix Vermeille (Fr-I). She was retired with 19 top-three finishes from 23 starts and earnings of $3,438,502.

Foaled in Great Britain, Midday is out of the stakes-placed Kingmambo mare Midsummer, who is a half sister to European champions Elmaamul and Reams of Verse.
