Monmouth Park will be open for an additional six days of live racing from Nov. 11-20 under the "Meadowlands at Monmouth" meet banner.
Racing will be held Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for two consecutive weeks. The dates were added at the request of horsemen and approved by the New Jersey Racing Commission.
The program for Friday, Nov. 11, was to be drawn Nov. 6, but Monmouth had to wait for the necessary approvals. The extension became official Nov. 9.
Monmouth is offering free parking and admission for the six days. First post each day is set for 12:15 p.m. EST.
The regular Monmouth meet ended Nov. 6. Meadowlands no longer offers Thoroughbred racing.
The racetracks are still owned by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority. Lease agreements with private operators are not yet finalized.
