Emmett Ralls “E.R.” Davis Jr., who owned a nurse mare business, died Oct. 29 in Paris, Ky. He was 85.
Owner of Horseplay Farm, Davis operated a large nurse mare business that provided mares to Thoroughbred farms across the state.
A Kentucky native and World War II veteran, Davis is survived by his wife of 65 years, Aleitha, and four children, plus numerous grandchildren.
A funeral will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at First Christian Church on High Street in Paris.
