GSW Three Hour Nap Sires First Winner

Three Hour Nap, a multiple graded stakes winner, sired his first winner when his daughter Family Icon won a maiden special weight race at Hawthorne Oct. 29 at first asking. Racing for trainer Hugh Robertson and the Estate of John G. Hillebrand, 2-year-old Family Icon captured the six-furlong race by a neck in 1:14.09.

Bred in Illinois by Robertson and Hillebrand, Family Icon is the second winner out of the Blumin Affair mare Clandestine Affair, who is a half sister to stakes winner He’s Bonafide.

Three Hour Nap, winner of the Arlington-Washington Breeders’ Cup Futurity (gr. III) and the National Jockey Club Handicap (gr. III), stands at Fairberry Farm near Waterloo, Ill. He is by Afternoon Deelites out of the Pilgrim mare Pilgrim’s Treasure. His 2011 fee was $1,000.
