OBS Winter Sale Will Have HRA Section

The Ocala Breeders' Sales Co. winter mixed sale in Central Florida will have a new horses of racing age section in 2012. The horses of racing age will be offered consecutively in a designated portion of the catalog.

"With the timing of the sale coinciding with the Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs meetings, racing stables will be able to fine-tune their stock via the auction ring in a convenient and efficient manner," according to an OBS press release. An optional under tack show will be scheduled prior to the sale.

The entry deadline for the winter mixed auction is Nov. 9, although additional entries will be accommodated beyond that date. The sale will be held Jan. 17 and 18.
