Etched , a multiple graded stakes winner, will stand the 2012 breeding season at the Boniface family's Bonita Farm near Darlington, Md.
The 6-year-old son of Forestry , sire of this year’s Preakness (gr. I) winner Shackleford , is out of Unbridled Elaine, herself a multiple graded stakes winner in six of 11 starts, including the 2001 Breeders’ Cup Distaff (gr. IT) as a 3-year-old, and earner of $1,770,740.
Etched was an impressive 6 3/4-length winner of his first start at Belmont in 2009. In his only other start at 2, he romped by 6 1/2 lengths in the Nashua Stakes (gr. III) at Aqueduct.
