Grade I winner Heatseeker  , whose three graded wins came in California in track-record time, will relocate to John C. Harris’ Harris Farm near Coalinga, Calif., for the 2012 breeding season. His fee will be $6,500.

Eight-year-old Heatseeker, who formerly stood at John Sikura’s Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms near Lexington, set track records in the 2008 Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I) and the Californian Stakes (gr. II) and in the 2007 Native Diver Handicap (gr. III).

Heatseeker placed in three grade II stakes: the San Antonio Handicap, the San Pasqual Handicap, and the Oaklawn Handicap. As a 2-year-old, the son of Giant's Causeway   ran third to George Washington in the Laing O’Rourke National Stakes (Ire-I).

“Heatseeker came into his own in California, and we feel California is a good fit for him at this point in his career,” said majority owner Will de Burgh.

Heatseeker’s dam, Rusty Back (by Defensive Play), is a half sister to California grade I winner Spanish Fern.
