Jockey Julien Leparoux, who injured his right hand when he was thrown from Here Comes Frazier in the Oct. 9 Bourbon Stakes (gr. IIIT), took off eight mounts on the Oct. 12 card at Keeneland.

“He is having another day of therapy,” said Leparoux’s agent, Steve Bass. “There are no breaks, no tears, but it (the hand) is still sore. He is going to breeze a horse in the morning and then ride tomorrow afternoon. That’s the plan right now.”

Leparoux led all riders with eight victories in the first three days of the 17-day meet at the Central Kentucky track.
