Trainer Woodard Wins 1,000th Race

Trainer Joe Woodard won his 1,000th race Tuesday, Oct. 11, when he saddled Just Call'er to victory in the eighth race at Beulah Park. A 4-year-old Ministers Wild Cat   filly owned by Billy, Donna, and Justin Hays, Just Call’er captured the six-furlong race by 5 1/2 lengths. The victory was her fourth this year.

Woodard’s runners have made 4,770 lifetime starts and have won 21% of them. In addition to the 1,000 wins, Woodard’s runners have run second 746 times and third 616 times.

This year, his runners have won 144 of their 547 starts.
