First Winner for Randy's Moon

Randy's Moon sired his first winner when his daughter Moonface captured an allowance race at Zia Park Oct. 10. Leading by 1 1/2 lengths at the eighth pole, Moonface threw it into high gear and scored by 7 1/2 lengths in :57.95 for the five furlongs.

Moonface, who placed in her other four starts, races as a homebred for trainer Dominic Duree. Moonface is the second winner out of the winning Paranoide mare Analyzed.

Winner of his sole start, Randy’s Moon (Malibu Moon  —Clever Rache, by Clever Champ) stands at Square D Training Stables near Belen, N.M. His 2011 fee was $2,500.
