Tony Cissell is leaving his post as general manager of Kenny Troutt’s WinStar Farm near Versailles, Ky.,  it was announced Oct. 6.

“I have enjoyed my time at WinStar, and I would like to think that with a Dubai World Cup (UAE-I), a Kentucky Derby (gr. I), and a Belmont Stakes (gr. I) in the trophy case, I have left it a better place,” said Cissell, who has served at WinStar since 2005. “WinStar is a great place, but I am looking forward to new opportunities. I want to help others achieve new heights in the Thoroughbred industry.”

Added WinStar president & CEO Elliott Walden: “Tony will be missed for his horsemanship and great attitude. He has been an integral part of the farm for the last six years.”
