Keeneland has introduced a fan-friendly innovation that allows bettors to wager at the track using their SmartPhones or tablets such as iPads.

Created by United Tote, FastBet technology allows fans who are located on Keeneland’s grounds to use mobile platform technology to place a bet. It is free to wager and is convenient for those who want to make a bet but don’t want to stand in line.

“Keeneland introduced a beta version of FastBet in the spring and it was well-received,” Keeneland vice president and chief information officer Brad Lovell said in a statement. “Those who tested it gave us great feedback, and United Tote did a good job of integrating upgrades into this generation of the technology.

"Keeneland strives to be an incubator for the industrym and we are proud to be the first track in America to offer this service to its fans.”

To sign up for FastBet technology, fans can visit any information window or go to "Wagering Central"—a new service for customers located on the ground floor of the grandstand that provides demonstrations about how FastBet works; a look at Keeneland’s new advance deposit wagering service,  Keeneland Select; handicapping contest sign-ups; free picks and selections; and general information about wagering from handicappers.
