Unbeaten Tu Endie Wei returns to her native Kentucky from Canada to contest the Darley Alcibiades Stakes (gr. I) for 2-year-old fillies at 1 1/16 miles at Keeneland. The 60th running of race is scheduled for Friday, Oct, 7, and will highlight the opening day of the 17-day fall meeting.

The Darley Alcibiades, the ninth race on the card, is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. (EDT) and is a “Win and You’re In” event for the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) at Churchill Downs Nov. 4.

Brereton C. Jones’ Tu Endie Wei, one of 14 juvenile scheduled to contest the Darley Alcibiades, is undefeated in two starts at Woodbine, both in stakes. The homebred filly passed a stern test when winning the five-furlong My Dear Stakes June 25 from post position 13 in her first outing.

“I have done it a couple of times, but never had one come out of the 13 hole and win easy,” said trainer Reade Baker about starting a filly in a stakes right off the bat.

In her next start, Tu Endie Wei, a half sister to 2010 Canadian Horse of the Year Biofuel, won the Ontario Debutante Stakes at 6 1/2 furlongs Aug. 13.

Tu Endie Wei, which means point between two waters in the Wyandotte native language, is named for a state park in West Virginia. The daughter of Johar arrived at Keeneland from Woodbine Sunday and put in her first exercise over the Keeneland track the morning of Oct. 4.

“The first few times we breezed her, she was OK,” Baker said. “Then I worked her out of the gate with a 3-year-old, and she started off six lengths behind. Then she went by him so fast, I thought he had broken down, and he went in 1:01. I never had one like that.”

Regular rider James McAleney has the assignment on Tu Endie Wei.

Flashy Lassie, owned Barry L. King, sports a graded stakes win. After winning a maiden claimer by nine lengths at Churchill Downs, the daughter of Flashy Bull captured the six-furlong Debutante Stakes (gr. III) at the Louisville oval. She enters off a runner-up effort in the six-furlong Mountaineer Juvenile Fillies Stakes in early August. Trained by Garry Simms, Flashy Lassie will be ridden by Kent Desormeaux, who was aboard her in the Debutante.

Stride Rite Racing Stable’s Frolic's Revenge has won or placed in all five starts and sports an added-money victory in the Lindsay Frolic Stakes at a mile in August at Calder. The daughter of Vindication enters the Darley Alcibiades off a runner-up finish in the Brave Raj at a mile and 70 yards at Calder Sept. 17. Trained by Milton Wolfson, Frolic’s Revenge will be ridden by Juan Leyva for the fourth time.
