Diamond A Racing's Reciclada led the field on a chase around Monmouth Park's turf track, leading at every call on the way to a two-length win over Mumtaz in Sunday's $100,000 Eatontown Stakes (gr. IIIT). Diamond A also has partial ownership of Dixie Union, who won the track's next race, the Haskell Invitational Handicap (gr.I). Reciclada completed the 1 1/16 miles, run on turf labeled good, in 1:44.34. Dominique's Joy finished third, followed by Boca Juniors, Heliotrope, Seaside Deli, Doctoressa, and High Lady.

The win marks the first in stakes company for the 5-year-old mare since August 1999 when she won the restricted Ben P. Walden Sr. Memorial Stakes at Del Mar. She raced in Chile through her 3-year-old season, compiling a record of four wins from six starts, including a win in the Premio Independencia (Chi-II). Previous to the Eatontown, Reciclada was winless in six starts this year. She earned $60,000 for the win, her seventh in 17 career starts. She is trained by Richard Mandella and was ridden to victory by Alex Solis. Reciclada (Rictorious--Exing, by Exceller) was bred in Chile by Haras Santa Eladia.

Reciclada returned $9, $4, and $2.60. The winning exacta paid $29.80. (Chart, Equibase)
