Delaware Park canceled live racing for Sept. 28 after it was unable to attract enough horses to fill the card.

Officials said the program was scrapped because of “insufficient entries.” There was no word on whether the program would be rescheduled.

Racing will be held Sept. 27, with first post for nine races at 1:15 p.m. EDT.

Delaware Park is scheduled to race four days a week—Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays—through Nov. 5. The 2011 meet was scheduled for 106 days.
