Fox Hill Farms’ Havre de Grace and Palides Investments’ Royal Delta worked the morning of Sept. 26 in preparation for their next starts.
Havre de Grace, who defeated males in the Woodward Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga in her last start Sept. 3, worked five furlongs in 1:02.20 on a fast track at Delaware Park, where she is stabled with trainer Larry Jones. It was the fourth-fastest of 11 works at the distance.
The 4-year-old Saint Liam filly is expected to race in the Oct. 1 Beldame Stakes (gr. I) at Belmont Park in her final start before the Breeders’ Cup World Championships Nov. 4-5 at Churchill Downs.
Royal Delta, winner of the Alabama Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga in her last start Aug. 20, worked a quick four furlongs in :47.50 on a fast track at Belmont Park. Her move was the third-fastest of 44 at the distance.
Royal Delta, a 3-year-old Empire Maker filly trained by Bill Mott, also could compete in the Beldame.
