Stakes-placed runner City Weekend was represented by his first winner when his daughter Boogiewoogieblueswon at Hoosier Park Sept. 21. Campaigned by Mast Thoroughbreds, Boogiewoogieblues captured the 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race by a half-length in 1:05.
Boogiewoogieblues was bred by Mast Thoroughbreds in partnership with the filly’s trainer, Robert M. Gorham. Boogiewoogieblues is the second winner from two starters out of the winning Lost Soldier mare Lost Her Tune.
A half brother to grade I winner Court Vision , City Weekend (Carson City—Weekend Storm, by Storm Bird) stands at Equine Veterinary Hospital of Northern Indiana near Wakarusa, Ind. His 2011 fee was $3,000.
