Jockey Julian Pimentel posted his 1,000th career victory in the ninth race at Delaware Park Sept. 19.

The milestone victory for the 30-year-old native of Cali, Colombia, came aboard Eileen Hartis’ Pet Me Pet Me.  The 4-year-old Texas-bred daughter of Midway Road conditioned by Jonathan Sheppard won the 1 1/16-mile maiden claiming affair by a length and returned $5.60 as the second choice in the field of eight.
