Adena Springs to Host YMCA Benefit

A benefit dinner, including live and silent auctions for the YMCA in Paris, Ky., will be held Sept. 16 at Frank Stronach’s Adena Springs Farm near Paris.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes dinner, drinks and live music. Tickets are $50 per person in advance and $60 at the door. Reserved tables, seating eight, can be purchased for $500.

Items in this year’s auctions include:

--Santa Anita Derby (gr. I) package: Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Arcadia, CA. Includes lunch for four at the Frontrunner Restaurant, two-night stay at the Doubletree Monrovia, race programs, valet parking, paddock tour and breakfast Sunday morning at Clocker’s Corner with a private tour of the stable area.

--Preakness Stakes (gr. I) Black-Eyed Susan (gr. II) Day package: Friday-Saturday, May 18-19, 2012; Includes Grandstand Apron Box Seats, admission, valet parking, and a two-night hotel stay at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

--2011 Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) tickets: Two 3rd floor Clubhouse Box Seats, Nov. 4-5 at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

--Engraved halter worn by Mucho Macho Man   during his 2011 Triple Crown racing series.

--Engraved halter and framed photo of 2010 Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Blame  .

The YMCA is also selling raffle tickets for a chance to win two lower arena University of Kentucky basketball season tickets. Two hundred tickets, costing $50 each, will be sold and the winner will be drawn during the Sept. 16 event.
