Benjamin Leon Jr. bought the two top-priced fillies under the name of his Besilu Stables during opening day of the Keeneland September yearling sale.

The Miami businessman and founder of Leon Medical Centers paid $775,000 each for a daughter of A.P. Indy out of Private Gift, and for a daughter of Indian Charlie out of Lu Ravi. Leon bought four horses Sept. 11 for a total of $3 million.

Peter O’Callaghan’s Woods Edge Farm, as agent, sold the filly out of Lu Ravi (by A.P. Indy), a multiple graded stakes winner and the producer of stakes winner Ravi's Song.

Leon owns a 600-plus acre farm near near Orange Lake, Fla., north of Ocala. The farm formerly made up David Hutson’s Silverleaf Farm.
