Breeders’ Cup said Sept. 9 it has sold all four horse farm partnerships in its “Industry Champion” category for this year’s World Championships, to be held Nov. 4-5 at Churchill Downs.
WinStar Farm recently signed on, joining Coolmore, Lane’s End Farm, and Three Chimneys Farm as official farm partners.
As a part of the agreements, all farm partners receive a fully-integrated media package of television, print, Internet and onsite exposure surrounding the World Championships and the Breeders’ Cup Challenge series of qualifying races, including commercial time in Breeders’ Cup Challenge and Breeders’ Cup World Championships telecasts on ABC/ESPN.
Stallions and progeny of each farm partner will be identified with on-screen graphics during those telecasts in the post parade. The farms will receive additional exposure on billboard signage on site at Churchill Downs, in official event publications, and at special events during Breeders’ Cup week.
“With the agreement to bring aboard WinStar Farm and close out the category, we are very proud of our partner relationships with all our Industry Champions for the 2011 Breeders’ Cup,” Carter Carnegie, Breeders’ Cup senior vice president of sales and business development, said in a statement. “Each of them has been a vital supporter in nominating foals and stallions to the Breeders’ Cup program over the years, and each has developed impeccable reputations as prominent global leaders in the Thoroughbred racing and breeding business.”
